AngioLab, founded in 1999, is a biotechnology company focusing on the development of angiogenesis inhibitors and stimulators. AngioLab concentrates on the discovery of valuable lead molecules with anti-angiogenic activities from various sources and has several candidates including natural products, organic compounds, and peptide/proteins.

During last 7 years AngioLab has been awarded government research grants supported by Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, and Small and Medium Business Administration to develop angiogenesis inhibitors.

The company filed more than 35 Korean and foreign patents that are registered or pending for the use of these candidates as angiogenesis inhibitors. Among candidates, herbal medicines in market showed potent anti-angiogenic activities via oral route with little toxic effects, which can be administered to patients for a long time as angiogenesis inhibitors. AngioLab believes that these candidates hold great promise as anti-angiogenic drugs to treat or prevent various diseases.

AngioLab plans to develop candidates on the pipeline to clinical phase and is seeking companies with strategic and cooperate partnership for further development and international marketing.
AngioLab produces and supplies angiogenesis-related proteins and cells such as MMPs, TIMP-2, and angiogenic factors such as VEGF and bFGF for research purpose.

The company also provides in vitro and in vivo assay service for angiogenesis research and is undertaking contract research with domestic and foreign research institutes. The company continues to expand assay services in Japan and USA.
